My goal as a training consultant is to make sure that all delegates receive not only excellent learning but also practical tools that can be implemented with ease in their own roles. From a leadership perspective this means that the learnings capability has to be measurable as part of the delivery and therefore easily supports the return on investment. I have been involved with the development and delivery of training modules for over 10 years, and always endeavour to move people forward on a sustainable path rather than offering a short term fix. |
The uCan approach to organising a strategic learning experience that has a measurable outcome in support of the agreed return on investment follows the five "D" practice.
Discuss it | This is achieved through in-depth consultation to identify the true business needs and the benefits of a successful event that has a measurable outcome. |
Develop it | Integrate accelerated learning sessions that fit hard against the identified true needs. This will ensure each session is meaningful and in support of the intended outcome. |
Design it | Once agreed with the business contact we will design the best method of achieving the most successful delivery and laying the foundation for the attendee's implementation of the learning provided. |
Deliver it | The delivery will be in context with the desired outcome by using the right mix of theory, interactive sessions and real world business simulations. |
Debate the outcome | The discussion post event will surround the pre determined measures put in place to ensure the learning has made the difference expected by the client as part of their return on investment. This can be achieved through onward coaching support or strategically placed measurement points. |
